For over 25 years, Paul has applied his expertise in intellectual property law to help his clients meet and exceed their business objectives and build value for their business.   Paul’s experience includes intellectual property portfolio development and management, diligence and freedom to operate investigations, counseling on IP issues and best practices and, when necessary, litigation and trial. 

Paul has served clients across a wide range of technologies and industries, including medical devices, cellular telephony, automotive, software, internet technology, semiconductor fabrication and testing, biotechnology, mechanical devices and glassware. 

Paul  has successfully served as lead litigation counsel and first chair trial counsel in numerous intellectual property and technology related disputes.   He has represented his clients in venues across the country,  including the Eastern District of Texas, the Eastern District of Virginia, the District of Delaware, the Northern and Central Districts of California,  in “337 actions” before the International Trade Commission.  He also has considerable experience in contested proceedings before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, including inter partes reviews, post grant reviews, reexaminations and interferences. 

In addition to his extensive experience as an intellectual property attorney, Paul has a decade of experience in the business and engineering community, through which he developed a deep appreciation for the business implications of intellectual property and technology disputes, and works closely with his clients to ensure that their business objectives are met in each representation.
